Merry Christmas for Tuesday.
We wish you all a fun day of eating and drinking with family and friends.
We didn't miss out on Christmas lights all together because there is a catholic church just up the road from here, St Paul's. It is covered in Christmas lights and looks great.
Driving back into Amritsar from the border there was a tout selling Father Christmas hats and masks. They looked like they would scare children. Seems strange seeing Christmas stuff in a mostly Hindu country. There is a small Christian community and commercialism is world wide.
We are looking forward to being in Dharamsala for Christmas.

Thinking of you - especially when we are having cooler showers to compensate for the heat :) Have a Happy Christmas, in that most special part of the world :) I'd swap Christmas lunch for Indian vegetarian in a heartbeat.

Belated Merry Xmas (although you would have got my email before the Dec 25) & glad all is well. You are certainly in a different world to the one we are inhabiting here in Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely day of family & friends on Tuesday - 20 here for lunch - did some meat (chicken & seafood) but lots of veg, so it was really yummy, then down to the Marshalls for swimming, more festivities til late! We did a 'cheers' to you as we toasted & remembered our friends & family who are far from home. You guys are certainly in the most exotic location of anyone we know right now!!
You need your winter woolies now by the sound of it??
