Luckily, this time the wedding was during
the day so Jim got to witness it.
We had not long arrived in Udaipur and came across Café Edelweiss
advertising coffee and bakery.
This sounded good to us.
Jim ordered a latte and cinnamon roll and I ordered a café mocha and
brownie. It was delicious and hit
the spot for those foreigner cravings of ours.
While we were sitting there I could hear
that familiar racket and thought it could only be one thing – a wedding
procession!
It was coming down the alleyway pass the
café. Everyone in the café along
with the staff stood in the doorway and watched it pass. Indians love to sing and dance. It is contagious when you are around
them.
Here they come |
The band |
The live entertainment |
The groom, not wealthy enough to be on an elephant |
Ladies come last - notice the one on the mobile |
