After
leaving our home of the past twenty plus years in the beautiful Kiewa Valley
Jim & I are heading overseas for the next year or so. The valley
has been and is a special place for us. We met there, married there and
met many wonderful people there.
Without
the support and enthusiasm of our family and friends we wouldn't be making this
trip. Each in a different way you have all helped in getting us to this
point in our lives. Thank you!
Enough of
the touchy feely stuff. As you can imagine Jim is rolling his eyes and
saying "just get on with it" so here we go.
Our
adventure really began a year ago, it was time for a change of scenery so
we left the valley for Sydney. It was great spending time with family and
friends and living on the beautiful northern beaches but the Sydney lifestyle
was not for us so now what do we do!!!!!! Hence the gap year idea.
We fly
out this Saturday December 1st for Delhi.
The plan
is (as of today) to be in India till April before heading to Dubai for a couple
of weeks to visit friends and then onto England & Europe for five months to
have a look around and then back to India for winter 2014.
We'll see
what happens along the way. The trip will be full of life opportunities, how
can it not.
We are very excited and hope you will look at our
blog occasionally to see where we are. We would love to share our
adventures with you and hoping even a few of you will come and share them with
us along the way.
Only one more sleep to go! Wishing you a fantastic trip, we will certainly be checking out your Blogs and no doubt being teased by your powder day photos.
